A powerful card that is suited to most deck builds, There and Back Again provides a layer of support for the Ring-Bearer that can be used when needed, without slowing down cycling, and is even free with Reluctant Adventurer. Being a Maneuver, it is immune to both Saruman's Snows and Cavern Entrance*, which gives it an edge over other Ring-Bearer support cards. It also applies to both regular and fierce skirmishes. For decks with many Hobbit companions, the bonus is even more wide ranging, and multiple copies may be desirable. Merry, Friend to Sam can multiply the strength bonus' benefits under the right circumstances (if he's forced to fight and later support another companion; if he's unwounded and bears vitality enhancing cards like Escape or Ent Draught, or gets mid-skirmish healing by The Shire Countryside, Stout and Strong or Fates Entwined, so he can use his skill multiple times or in different skirmishes).
Being a Tale also gives it further synergy with cards such as Pippin, Friend to Frodo; Red Book of Westmarch; Bilbo, Well-Spoken Gentlehobbit and The Council of Elrond. By helping Hobbits to win skirmishes, synergizes well also with Good Work and Fates Entwined.
