Great fellowship fun and easy to play (also in movieblock as a surprise Grin)

Strategy:
Exhaust and wound minions, then heal your companions.

Ring bearer: Frodo weary from the journey (great in combo with 5th level)
3x Aragorn captain of gondor (self explanatory)
2x faramir defender of osgiliath
1x ingold (starting) (nice when facing heavy wounding, nice combo with 6th level)
2x Knight of dol amroth (1 starting)
1x sam proper poet (kamikasam! or when facing a burdendeck: kill frodo when he`s piled up with black tokens)
1x Knight's mount
3x banner of westernesse (great in combo with gondor bow and 4th level)
4x gondor bow
4x fourth level  (the key card for killing big minions)
3x citadel of the stars
3x city wall
4x fifth level (saves frodo when making a minion less than 9 strength)
3x sixth level (important for getting 4th level)
34 total

Downsides:
-   No condition removal
-   Not really choking stuff
-   Depends on conditions
-   Not really cycling stuff (footman's armor or preferably gondorian sword would take care of that)

I would like to point out that the banner + the bow doesn't work. You didn't win the skirmish, you killed the minion.

I kill means I win means I heal... (this will change your game!)

But there was never a skirmish, right?

I think you are thinking about discarding a minion or companion. If a minion dies then the FP wins.

If all the characters of one side are removed from a skirmish, then the other side wins.

Big fan of Banner of Westernesse, too. I might add Turgon as well (possibly starting him)--good combo with Fifth Level. Also Last Throw for a triple.

What are the rules on Poorman's format?  I couldn't believe I didn't see an Alcarin in there. Never mind, found them.

Also, I usually stocked 1-2 Take Cover just in case I faced condition removal I could fetch back the forts and keep the engine going.
