Spot Smaug to make an opponent place 2 cards from their hand beneath their draw deck (or place their hand beneath their draw deck if you can spot 2 Men).

If a Free Peoples event is played, exert Smaug to cancel its effects (and end the current phase if it was a event).

Exert Smaug to remove from the game a Free Peoples card from an opponent’s discard pile (or place it in their dead pile if that card is a Wizard or Eagle).
They knew that they were drawing near to the end of their journey, and that it might be a very horrible ending.

make it remove 2. shuffling it to the dead pile is evil. |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

Still doesnt fit in with the storyline, bad choice in my opinion. EVen with the idea of countering each free peoples tactics. You wouldnt use all of these types of cards in the hope you faced a specific deck.

Lovely, up cost though, SoP is right.

I think its a great idea to counter freeps decks, but i cant see people choosing to put these cards in, theyre a total waste of deck space. Theyre balanced as long as there is a counter for each deck type, but i still cant see anyone using them on top of site stacking strategy and the cost to play Smaug, these cards will be overlooked. |

I second (third?) SoP and lem0n’s comments. Love the idea overall, but such specific cards always get the same comments when I make them, too: they’d never actually be used. Doesn’t mean they’re not good cards, though. |

I understand your concerns entirely, and I in fact am usually the one to make them. I tried to avoid this by giving each of them a decent ability without requiring the strategy it’s supposed to counter.
Anyway, thanks guys but those were the last cards of this set. I’ll make some changes, and then you can hop over to my only currently active DC thread for the culture (though looking at it, I think all of you have already!)
