Starting:
Merry, In the Bloom of Health
Pippin, In the Bloom of Health
Farmer Maggot, Hobbit of the Marish
Quickbeam, Bregalad
Skinbark, Fladrif
Host of Fangorn
Ent Horde
hmm, it’s really a nice-looking starting, however one major problem occurs. All those Ents’ gametext says "Ent OR unbound Hobbit". Even Quickbeam has related clarification in the Comprehensive Rules 4.0 document. So - you cannot spot BOTH Ents AND unbound Hobbits. You may only spot EITHER Ents OR unbound Hobbits.
I am not 100% sure about that but simple logic suggests so.
I like the Solo-Gimli idea, did you check it working in practice, especially vs. heavy corruption decks (like Ulaire Enquea, Thrall of the One)?
So someone said this on an article and i was wondering if he is right? |

You can spot both Ents and Hobbits for reducing the Ents’ cost.
Merry: 1
Pippin: 1
Maggot: 1
Quickbeam: 0
Skimbark: 0
Host: 0
Ent Horde: 0 |

But the first tree says ent AND unbound hobbit. Is there no difference between the two wordings? If not, that is one great sf!!! And i still have space for Strider! |

There is no difference. And I made a mistake in the math. Skinbark actually costs 1, not 0. |

Sure, why not?
In Expanded, I like to start with 9 companions in my Gondor Ranger deck. Faramir, Captain of Gondor, Aragorn, Strider, Madril, 4x Gondorian Prowler and any 2-cost Gondor Man (Halbarad or Mablung work well). |
