0 Too Much Ale! Sauron
Event • Response
If an unbound companion (except an Elf) heals during the fellowship phase, discard 2 Sauron conditions from play to wound that companion twice.

Honestly, I kind of want to go vomit. We’ll see about that.

When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.

It is a very steep cost. Especially if you won’t kill a companion with it (he just healed so had to be already exhausted...). Conditions are like gold for Sauron cultures, be it archery, site control, corruption etc.

Switch it to "discard a Sauron card from hand".

Seriously, its way to powerful. Think of what this will do to a Gondor deck! I mean, Houses of Healing, Athelas, Kingsfoil, Much Needed rest, now toast? (in other words, LOOK AT WHAT THIS DOES TO MY GONDOR DECK!) Because if you use them at the wrong moment, you die! Maybe exertions instead of wounds? Because if a critical character is exhausted and heals once, you could kill it. If you want to keep it at wounds, you do need to discard two conditions, because it is a very powerful ability and needs to be balanced.

Also, isn’t the fellowship phase supposed to be safe for the fellowship? I mean, since decipher came out with A Dark Shape Sprang (the most unfair card in the game, unless I play it on you Smile ), ninja gollum has become way overpowered. Now you want to give that to the Sauron culture? "Um...sorry Boromir, you used much needed rest after that Sauron swarm, so now I’ll have to kill you." or what about the orc/nagul hybrids that wound the ring-bearer. Seriously, this card is to powerful. I reccommend changing it to exertions instead of wounds.

I like the idea. This would be a cool alternate idea:

0 Too Much Ale! Sauron
Event • Response
If an unbound companion (except an Elf) heals during the fellowship phase, discard a Sauron condition from play to exert that companion and prevent that companion from healing until the regroup phase.

I think that’s a much better version, AC.

And I’ll give you a GP, because maybe your card will get those guys off my back. Laughing

Nice little revision there, NBarden. Makes it a lot less wordy. GP for you. GP

On the topic of drinking...

0 Ale of the Golden Hall Rohan
Event • Fellowship
Spot a Rohan Man to heal an unbound companion twice. Until the regroup phase, that companion is strength -2 and resistance -4.

Like it? Mr. Green
