Okay, here’s a really cool idea I’ve had for a while, and I really want to get something going: make an official CC DC expansion through the cooperation of all our DCers. That’s right, a full expansion, just like AC’s "Land of Rhun" expansion.
Before that can happen, we’ll need to make sure everything is running and organized-do not post DCs in this thread, because this thread is only for setting up the Expansion.
Now that that’s settled, let’s go through what this expansion needs. First of all, the theme. Gandalf tells us about the War of the Ring in the north. Sauron’s armies attacked Erebor and the Iron Hills, but the Free Peoples withstood the onslaught, and so the armies couldn’t go south to stop the victory at the Pelennor. So, here’s the major cultures for this set:
 , because of Mirkwood.
 , because of the Iron Hills.
 men, because of Erebor.
 , because Sauron’s army had plenty of Rhun guys.
 -DUH!
 -possibly, because of potential Spider stuff in Mirkwood.

BTW, do you think Cobra would give us a forum for putting this together? I’m planning to have several subthreads for the actual making of DCs. |

All right, we’ve got people! The next steps we need to take...
-Make sure we know the source matter (e.g., dig it out of the Appendices)
-Decide definitively what cultures we’re using
-Decide if we want to implement a new keyword or not
-Decide how many cards we want to make
After we get everything set up, and each person says where they want to work, I’ll make a thread for each culture, and we’ll go from there.
I’d also like to mention that I’d like each DC to be thoroughly reviewed. After they’re finalized, they’ll get put in the "Submissions" thread. After that...we’ll just go on to making Starter decks. |
